For more than three years, I had the privilege of leading creative direction at the Oklahoma Gazette—a 40-year-old weekly publication working hard to stay competitive in the digital age. The role required real dedication, especially through the challenges before and after the pandemic. During that time, I focused on connecting with the community and elevating Oklahoma City’s creative scene by highlighting local talent, collaborating with artists across different disciplines, and bringing freelancers into the fold whenever possible.
